Welcome to Sock Monkey Diva…Bon Vivant, where I will be blogging about all the great things I love about life. From travel reviews to food and wine recommendations to books to read to recipes and restaurants to try, and everything in between. I am so excited to share with all of you my thoughts on life, and the funny (and not so funny) things that happen in my life. Because let’s face it…a Sock Monkey has a lot to say! And this Sock Monkey “thinks” it lives a life of luxury!! I hope you enjoy the journey as much as I do, and thank you for following me. I can’t wait to share my adventures with you.
As you can see, I am ready for Thanksgiving. It’s right around the corner and will be here before you know it. What are your plans for Thanksgiving? Are you traveling or hosting Thanksgiving at your home? This year, unfortunately, we will not be able to see our family for Thanksgiving, but we will get to see them for Christmas. So in luxurious Sock Monkey Diva style, I have booked Thanksgiving Day reservations for Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse. Stay tuned for a review. I think it will be nice to not have to cook and clean and have someone prepare my food, serve it to me, clean up after me, and, of course, have champagne brought to me! Ahhhh champagne…I could do a whole post on how much I love champagne! Maybe I will!
But back to Thanksgiving. I usually host our family in our home and do all the cooking. I have some great tried and true Thanksgiving recipes I will be sharing with you in the next few days. Speaking of Thanksgiving, we all know how Thanksgiving in America came to be when the pilgrims had the first Thanksgiving back in 1621. But did you know about the first “Socks-giving”? It’s true!! Back in the day, Sock Monkeys came together to give thanks for all their Sock Monkey blessings! So you see, we all have something to be thankful for this time of year!
